Transmission 1.40 Deb for Ubuntu Intrepid 8.10 64 bit

The transmission team just released version 1.40 of their popular bittorrent client. I’ve compiled and put up a debian package for Ubuntu 8.10 amd64. Grab it here. Other ubuntu downloads will be put up in the ubuntu page.

Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04 First Impressions

The good :
1. Installation is a piece of cake. Even for linux newbies. I’d say installing Ubuntu is easier than Windows Xp. Took me about 25 minutes to get it up and running.
2. The default wallpaper is darn good! And it comes pre-installed with compiz fusion – bling out of the box!
