This version is stale. Get a more recent version here

My first experiment with php – dScript is a very *basic* file download counter in php. It uses text file for logging, thus eliminating the need for setting up mysql tables. Although this is the first release, i’ve tested it as much as possible. Please report any bugs so that i can work on it. You are welcome to make any modifications to the script.

INSTALLATION

1. Get the zip file from here

2. Unzip it in your download folder.

3. Set permission of log.txt to 777 (globally writable)

4. Drop your files in the folder.

LIMITATIONS

1. Cannot browse through internal folders.

2. Folders within the download directory are not listed.

3. Does not work on files with space in the filename.

COMPATIBILITY

Tested on IE 7, Opera 9.5 and Firefox 3

DISCLAIMER

I am NOT responsible for any damage to your property/files/servers/hamsters. This is purely experimental. I will try my best not to make weapons of mass destruction anymore.
